Jarrett Esman led the Kalamazoo Eagles with three goals as the team used a single overtime goal to top Kalamazoo United 7-6 on Wednesday.
Trevor Wason had two goals and James Wressel added one.
“It was a good hockey game and a fun game,” Kalamazoo United coach Tyler Kindle said. “There was a lot of scoring, obviously, and our guys worked hard and played really well.”
Brenden Warner led Kalamazoo United with three goals, while Noel Cavey, Jacob Remelius and Zach Mason each added one.
“It was one of our best efforts,” Kindle said. “We had some problems on our power play. We gave up a couple shorthanded goals and it cost us the game.”
